Terms of Service

Version 2026-08-17

1. Who we are, what this is

AFTR DARK Tickets is operated by AFTR DARK Group Inc., an Ontario corporation. These terms govern your use of the platform as an event organizer. By creating an organization you accept them on that organization's behalf.

2. Ticketing

You are the merchant of record. Ticket payments are processed through your own Stripe account under Stripe's Connected Account Agreement; funds from ticket sales belong to you and never pass through an AFTR DARK balance.

Our platform fee is 3.5% + $0.75 CAD per paid ticket, plus applicable tax, collected through Stripe at the time of each sale. Card processing costs are itemized to the buyer at cost and reimburse you, not us. Free tickets carry no platform fee.

When you refund a ticket — for any reason, including event cancellation — our platform fee for that ticket is returned in full.

Payout timing belongs to Stripe, not to us. We do not hold, delay, or control your payouts.

Chargebacks and payment disputes on ticket sales are your responsibility as the merchant of record.

3. Managed advertising

Where you engage AFTR DARK to run advertising campaigns, AFTR DARK purchases advertising as your agent. Advertising spend is a disbursement made on your behalf and recharged to you at cost, with no markup. The management fee is the consideration for AFTR DARK's services.

Management fees are tiered on settled ticket revenue for paid events, and priced on managed spend for free events, per the published pricing at time of engagement. Creative production is priced per creative.

Advertising spend already delivered is non-refundable, including if the event is cancelled. If a campaign is paused for non-payment within the first 48 hours of delivery, the management fee for that event is refunded.

We make no guarantee of ticket sales, attendance, or advertising performance.

4. Billing

Managed advertising is billed by threshold: you keep a valid payment card on file, accumulated charges are collected automatically each time your account's threshold is crossed, and the balance settles within 48 hours after each event.

If a charge is declined, live campaigns are paused the same day and resume when payment succeeds. Accounts past their first threshold are required to keep a backup card on file.

Prepaying a balance is available as an option and never required.

5. Credits

Promotional credits (including cashback and referral credit) can be applied to managed advertising spend only. They cannot pay platform, management, or creative fees, have no cash value, are non-transferable, expire six months after issuance, and are forfeited on account closure.

Referral credit accrues at 0.5% of a referred organizer's settled ticket revenue for their first twelve months, capped at $1,000 per referred account. Self-referrals and duplicate entities do not qualify. Free events accrue no cashback and do not advance new-customer pricing mechanics.

6. Your data

Attendee data collected through your events belongs to you. If you leave the platform, we will provide your attendee data in a portable format on request and delete it from active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

We may use aggregated, de-identified performance data across the platform for benchmarks and case studies. We will never market to your attendees on behalf of another organizer.

Marketing consent is collected per organizer under Canadian anti-spam law. You may only message attendees who consented to hear from you.

7. Creative

Creative produced by AFTR DARK for your campaigns is licensed to you for promoting the event it was produced for. AFTR DARK retains the right to include produced creative in its portfolio.

8. Acceptable use

Events must be lawful and accurately described. We may suspend events or accounts that involve fraud, misrepresentation, or content that violates advertising platform policies, and we may decline to run advertising that risks our shared advertising infrastructure.

9. The legal frame

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Our aggregate liability to you is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We may update these terms; material changes require your re-acceptance before continued use.
