Help & support

How can we help?

Answers for people going to events and for people running them. Everything here describes how AFTR DARK Tickets works today. If your question is not covered, send it through the form at the bottom and it gets a reference number and a reply.

Your tickets and passes

Passes are links, not attachments. Three ways to reach them: the confirmation screen, the confirmation email, and My tickets.

Where are my tickets?

Your passes live at private links, one per guest. You can reach them three ways:

  1. The confirmation screen right after booking lists every pass. Open each one and add it to your phone.
  2. The confirmation email, subject "You're on the list" or "Your tickets", with a button per guest.
  3. My tickets. Sign in with the email you used at checkout and every booking made with that address is there, with a "View my passes" button.

Each pass page shows the event, the door time in the event's local time, the guest's name, the QR code and its current status.

I never got the confirmation email

Most of the time it is in spam or promotions. Search your mail for "AFTR DARK Tickets" or for the event name.

If it is not there:

  • Open My tickets and sign in with the exact email you typed at checkout. Your booking and passes are there even when no email arrived.
  • If you still have the confirmation screen open, use "Resend my passes". You can ask for a resend up to 5 times an hour.
  • Check the spelling of the email on your order. A typo means the mail went to an address that is not yours. Send us the order number, which starts with AD-, using the form below and we will locate the booking.

Your place is confirmed the moment you see the order number on screen. The email is a copy, not the ticket.

Why do I have two passes for one ticket?

Some ticket tiers include a perk, usually a welcome drink. Those guests get two passes with different QR codes: an entry pass for the door and a bar pass for the perk.

The bar pass only works after the entry pass has been scanned. Show entry first, then the bar pass when you order. Each perk is served by the venue, subject to age verification and availability.

Why is there no QR code in my email?

On purpose. A QR code pasted into an email is frozen: if a ticket were refunded it would still look valid, and many mail apps block images anyway. The email carries a button that opens your live pass, and the QR code on that page always reflects the current status of the ticket.

Can I add my pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

When wallet passes are enabled, buttons for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet appear on each pass page. Open the pass from your confirmation screen, email or My tickets and tap the button.

Wallet buttons appear on the pass page itself. A resent email does not carry them, so use the pass link. A pass that has already been scanned or voided cannot be added.

The QR code will not scan at the door

Turn your screen brightness all the way up. The pass page puts the QR code on a white panel for exactly this reason. Close any app that dims the screen and hold the phone still.

If the screen is cracked or the page will not load, the door can find you by name. Every pass carries the guest name and the staff scanner has a name search with an admit button. Have your ID ready if the event has an age minimum.

What do the status labels on my pass mean?
  • Not yet checked in: ready to scan at the door.
  • Checked in, with a time: the entry pass has been used. The QR code is no longer shown.
  • Ready at the bar: a bar pass whose entry pass has been admitted.
  • Redeemed, with a time: the perk has been served.
  • Not valid: the ticket was refunded or voided. If you believe this is wrong, contact the organizer with your order number.
I typed the wrong email, or booked with a different email than my account

Passes are tied to the email on the order, and My tickets only shows bookings made with the email you sign in with. If you bought with a work address, sign out and sign in with that one.

If the address has a typo, send us the order number and the correct address through the form below. We will confirm the booking details with you and get the passes to the right inbox. The email on the order itself cannot be edited by you.

Can I change the name on a ticket, transfer it or resell it?

Not on the platform. Names are set at checkout, one per guest, and there is no transfer or resale feature.

If a friend is coming in your place, contact the organizer before the event. The door has a manual name search and can admit a guest on the organizer's say-so. Whether they allow it is the organizer's decision.

I bought a group ticket and received several passes

Group tiers are sold in fixed multiples, for example a table of 4, and the price shown is per person. Each person in the group gets their own named pass, so a group of 4 means 4 passes. Everyone can arrive separately.

Booking and checkout

Checkout is three steps: pick tickets, enter each guest's details, get your order number. Availability is confirmed when you submit.

How does booking work?
  1. Select tickets. Choose a tier and how many. Enter a code here if you have one.
  2. Your details. One email for the order, then a name for every guest. Some events also ask for date of birth, gender or city.
  3. Confirmed. You get an order number starting with AD- and a list of passes. Paid orders go through a Stripe payment page between steps 2 and 3.

Free RSVPs work exactly the same way and show a $0.00 receipt.

How long are my tickets held while I check out?

When you press "Reserve tickets" your selection is held while you fill in your details. Free RSVPs are held for 10 minutes. Paid orders are held for the length of the payment window, about 30 minutes, so Stripe has time to complete.

If the hold runs out you will see "Your reservation expired" and can select again. Availability is checked one more time at the moment you submit, so a hold is never a guarantee that someone else cannot get the last spot first.

It said "someone took the last spot while you were checking out"

Two people reached for the last ticket at the same time and the other order finished first. Nothing was charged to you. Pick again from what is left. Counts are not shown on the page, so a tier can sell out between the moment you look and the moment you submit.

How do I use a promo or access code?

Type it in the "Have a code?" box on the first step. There are two kinds:

  • Access codes unlock ticket tiers that are hidden from the public page, like guest lists or industry tiers. You will see "Code applied, your tickets are unlocked below".
  • Discount codes take a percentage or a fixed amount off. You will see "Code saved, it will be applied to your order" and the final amount on the Stripe page.

One code per order. Codes are validated when you submit, so a code can be refused at that point if it has been fully redeemed or already used with your email.

My code was refused
  • "That code isn't valid for this event": it belongs to a different event or was deleted.
  • "That code has been fully redeemed": the organizer set a maximum number of uses and it has been reached.
  • "That code has already been used with this email": each code has a per-guest limit, usually one.
  • "That code needs more tickets in the order": the code requires a minimum quantity.

Codes are case-insensitive, and they never contain the letters O or I or the digits 0 or 1, so if it looks like one of those it is the other.

The event has an age minimum. What do I need?

You enter a date of birth for every guest at checkout and each guest must meet the minimum on the date of the event. At the door you need valid photo ID. The date of birth at checkout is for eligibility only. It does not replace the ID check.

What fees will I pay?

Free events cost nothing. No fee, ever.

For paid tickets the receipt itemizes each line before you pay:

  • Service fee: 3.5% plus $0.75 per ticket. This is the platform's fee.
  • Tax on the service fee, such as HST, based on the organizer's province.
  • Card processing: charged once per order, not per ticket, so four tickets in one order cost less per person than four separate orders. It reimburses the organizer for the card cost.
  • Tax on tickets, when the organizer collects GST or HST on their ticket prices.

Some organizers choose to include all fees in the advertised price. In that case you see one number and no fee lines.

My payment failed, expired or I pressed back

Card details are entered on Stripe's payment page, never on this site. If you leave that page you return to the event with your reservation still held. Use the retry option to resume the same payment while the hold lasts.

"Your payment session expired" means the payment window closed. Nothing was charged. Return to the event and choose your tickets again.

If your card was declined, your bank decided that, not the organizer. Try another card. Prepaid cards are commonly refused.

Is my card information stored?

No card data touches this site. Payment happens on Stripe's hosted page and the charge is made directly to the organizer's own Stripe account. AFTR DARK never holds the money and never sees the card.

The event says at capacity or tickets on sale soon. Is there a waitlist?

There is no waitlist. Two things help instead:

  • "Save this event" on the event page sets a reminder about 24 hours before doors, by email, with no account needed.
  • Follow the organizer with a My tickets account to hear when they announce new nights, and get a reminder the day before each one.

Organizers sometimes release more tickets close to the date. If you are a fan of a specific night, following the organizer is the best way not to miss it.

I need a receipt or invoice

Your confirmation email is your receipt. It shows the order number, the event, each guest, the amount paid and, where the organizer collects tax on tickets, the tax amount with the organizer's name and GST/HST registration number.

There is no separate PDF invoice. If you need one for a business expense, contact the organizer, who is the seller of record.

Which time zone are the times in?

Every time on the event page, your passes and your emails is in the event's local time, not your phone's. A Toronto show says Toronto time even if you are booking from Vancouver.

Refunds and cancellations

The organizer is the seller and decides refunds. When a ticket is refunded, the platform fee comes back with it, always.

How do I get a refund?

Contact the organizer. They are the seller of record and refunds are their decision and their action. Their contact links are on the event page under "Organized by" and on their page.

When an organizer refunds a ticket, the full amount you paid comes back including the service fee and its tax. That is true for every refund, including cancelled events. Refunds return to the card you paid with on the card network's normal timeline, usually 5 to 10 business days.

If you cannot reach the organizer, send us the order number through the form below and we will help you get in touch.

The event was cancelled or postponed

The organizer refunds cancelled events, and every fee is refunded with the ticket. Watch for an email from the organizer or from AFTR DARK Tickets with details.

When an event is taken down its public page stops loading. Your booking still exists in My tickets with its status, so you can check what happened to it there.

For a postponed event, your ticket normally stays valid for the new date. The organizer will confirm.

My order says "refunded" or "could not fulfill this order"

"Refunded" means the money is on its way back to your card. Check your email and your statement.

"We could not fulfill this order" is rare. It happens when the last spots were taken while your payment was still processing. A full refund of everything you paid, including every fee, is issued automatically and you receive an email saying so. Nothing is needed from you.

Should I dispute the charge with my bank?

Contact the organizer first. A refund through them takes days. A bank dispute can take weeks, freezes the ticket, and is charged against the organizer rather than the platform.

I have a free RSVP. Am I guaranteed entry?

A free RSVP is a place on the list, not a reserved spot once the room is at capacity. On a busy night arrive early. The venue may hold the door when the room is full regardless of RSVPs.

Your account, emails and privacy

No passwords for fans. Sign in by email link, follow organizers you like, and control every email you get.

How does the My tickets account work?

Go to My tickets and enter the email you buy tickets with. We send a sign-in link. There is no password. Creating an account does not subscribe you to any marketing emails.

Every booking made with that email appears with its passes. Bookings made with other emails do not, so sign in with the address you actually used.

What happens when I follow an organizer?

You get an email from AFTR DARK Tickets when that organizer announces a new event, and a reminder about 24 hours before each of their upcoming events. That is all. Every email has an unfollow link at the bottom, and you can manage follows in My tickets. You can follow up to 100 organizers.

Following is separate from marketing emails. Organizers cannot email you directly because you follow them.

Can I get a reminder without an account?

Yes. On the event page, use "Save this event" and enter your email. We send one confirmation, then one reminder about 24 hours before doors. For events sooner than that, the reminder arrives shortly after you confirm. Every reminder has a cancel link.

Why do you ask for date of birth, gender or city?

Date of birth is required only when an event has an age minimum, to check eligibility on the event date. Gender and city are optional and help organizers understand who comes to their nights. Names are checked at the door. Read the privacy policy for the full list of what is collected and why.

How do I access or delete my data?

Send a request through the form below with the email you used. We respond within 30 days. Organizers own the attendee data for their own events, so a request may also be forwarded to the organizer concerned. We do not sell personal data and we do not combine attendee lists across organizers for marketing.

Getting started as an organizer

The portal is called BACKROOM. Sign up with an email, name your organization, and your first event can be live in minutes.

How do I create an organizer account?
  1. Go to Sign up and enter your email. We send a sign-in link. No password is needed to start.
  2. Name your organization and choose its URL name, called a slug. That becomes your public page at tickets.aftrdark.ca/e/your-name and your short link at aftr.bio/your-name.
  3. Pick your time zone and business province, and accept the terms and privacy policy.

The person who signs up is the owner. Owners invite the rest of the team afterwards.

What are the rules for my URL name?

Lowercase letters, numbers and single dashes, 2 to 40 characters, unique across the platform. A handful of words are reserved for the site itself, such as admin, portal, tickets and scan. A name is also refused if it matches an existing tracking short code, since both live at aftr.bio.

The signup form checks availability as you type and suggests alternatives when a name is taken. Changing the slug later changes every link you have shared, so choose carefully.

How do I sign in to BACKROOM?

Three ways at tickets.aftrdark.ca/portal: a password, a passkey, or an emailed sign-in link. New accounts start with the link. To set a password, use "Forgot your password, or never set one?" on the login page. Passwords need at least 10 characters. Passkeys can be added under Security once you are in.

What can each team role do?
  • Owners run the team, payments and billing. Only owners connect Stripe, change tax settings, invite people, or close the account.
  • Organizers run events, ticket tiers, codes, tracking links, the page and tracking settings, and can see analytics and exports.
  • Door staff see the event list and run the door. Nothing else: no guest data, no money, no settings.

Ownership cannot be granted by invitation. Invite someone as an organizer and promote them once they have joined.

How do I add my team?

Team, then enter an email and a role. The invite link arrives by email and lasts 7 days. The person must sign in with that exact address. If they open it while signed in with another address they see "This invite was sent to a different email address". You can revoke a pending invite any time.

What are my public links?
  • Your page: tickets.aftrdark.ca/e/your-slug, and the short form aftr.bio/your-slug.
  • Each event: tickets.aftrdark.ca/e/your-slug/event-slug, and aftr.bio/your-slug/event-slug.
  • Tracking links: aftr.bio/code, one per flyer, story or promoter.

Short links always redirect to tickets.aftrdark.ca, so tickets, passes and tracking all happen in one place.

Events and ticket tiers

Events start as drafts that only you can see. Publish makes the page live, or schedules it for the announcement time.

How do I create and publish an event?

Events, then New event. Fill in the title, venue, doors and end time, capacity, age restriction, and at least one ticket tier. Add a flyer and a blurb. Save as a draft as often as you like.

Publish makes the page public immediately, or at the announcement time if you set one in the future. Unpublish takes the page down again; existing orders are untouched. All times are entered in the event's time zone.

What is the difference between the announcement time and the on-sale time?

The announcement time is when the event page becomes visible. The on-sale time is when tickets can be bought. Between the two, the page shows "Tickets on sale soon" with the on-sale time and a save-the-date reminder, and fans can follow you.

The announcement must be no later than the on-sale time, and both must be before the event ends. Leave both blank to go live and on sale the moment you publish.

What do the ticket tier visibility options mean?
  • Public: listed on the event page.
  • Hidden: never listed. Reachable only when a fan enters an access code that covers it. Use for guest lists and comps.
  • Code locked: appears on the page once a valid access code is entered.
  • Scheduled: public only inside its own sales window, for presales and staged releases.

One field covers guest lists, comps, presales and drops without separate features.

What are the limits on a ticket tier?
  • Total passes: how many the tier can sell.
  • Max passes per order: 1 to 50. An order can hold at most 40 passes across all tiers.
  • Purchase increment: 1 to 40. Set 4 for a table of four; fans buy in whole groups and each person gets a named pass. The price you enter is per person.
  • Room capacity on the event caps everything. Tiers can add up to more than capacity, and sales stop at capacity.

Once a tier has sold or held passes, its increment is locked and its total cannot drop below what is sold. Create a new tier instead of changing one that has sold.

How do drink tickets and other perks work?

Turn on "Includes a perk" on a tier and name it, for example "Welcome drink". Every guest on that tier gets a second pass for the bar, linked to their entry pass. The bar pass cannot be redeemed until the entry pass has been scanned. Perks are per tier, so a VIP tier can include one while general admission does not.

How do I set an age restriction?

Choose All ages, 18+, 19+ or 21+ on the event. Fans then enter a date of birth per guest and must meet the minimum on the event date, and the page tells them to bring photo ID. The check at checkout is not identity verification. The door still checks ID.

What size should my flyer be?

JPEG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB. Portrait and landscape both work: the page and your organizer page show the poster at its real proportions. Square or 4:5 reads best on phones. The image uploads when you save the event.

How do I add music and a lineup?

"Get in the mood" takes one full Spotify or SoundCloud link to a track, album, playlist or set, and shows an embedded player that never autoplays. Profile links and shortened share links cannot be embedded.

The lineup manager takes artists with their Spotify, Instagram, SoundCloud and YouTube links, and an optional featured track that plays on the page. Artists are reusable across your events.

How do I delete or cancel an event?

Drafts can be deleted from the event page. Any orders that somehow exist are preserved.

Published events cannot be deleted. To cancel one, unpublish it so the page comes down, then refund every order. Refunds run through your Stripe dashboard today, and each refund returns the platform fee automatically. If you have many orders to refund, send us a message and we will process the whole event for you.

How do venues work?

Pick a venue from the list or add your own from the event editor with a name and address. Venues you add are visible to your team only.

A venue can also have its own account, whose public page lists every organizer's published events held there. Geary Warehouse is one. Venue accounts are set up by AFTR DARK; ask us if a venue you run should have one.

Your page

Your page is your link-in-bio: bio, socials, links, music and every upcoming event, at aftr.bio/your-slug.

What can I put on my page?

Under Your page:

  • Identity: a bio up to 600 characters, city and genres, a logo and a cover photo with a crop focus, an accent colour and a layout.
  • Social profiles: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, SoundCloud, website and email. These also appear on every event page.
  • Up to 20 custom links with a title, icon and highlight, pointing to a website or an email address.
  • Up to 3 music players, Spotify tracks, albums or playlists, SoundCloud tracks or sets.
  • Five sections you can rename, reorder or hide: Featured event, Links, Our sound, Upcoming events, Stay in the loop.

Upcoming events fill in automatically from your published events.

Which layout should I choose?

Compact is a centred, phone-first page in the style of a link-in-bio, with icon-only socials and tight spacing. Spotlight gives your events more room on desktop. Most organizers replacing a Linktree want Compact.

Why can I not see my changes on the live page?

Saving keeps a draft. Publish pushes it live. The status line at the top says "Unsaved changes", "Draft ready to publish" or "Live and up to date". Publishing also updates your logo and socials on every event page. "Restore live version" throws away a draft you no longer want.

Payments, fees and tax

You are the seller. Payments settle straight into your own Stripe account and AFTR DARK never holds your money.

How do I get paid?

Payments, then "Set up payouts with Stripe". Only the owner can do this. Stripe collects your business details and bank account directly; AFTR DARK never sees them. Until onboarding is complete, paid tiers show "Online sales open soon" and only free tiers can be booked.

Payouts, disputes and your full transaction history live in your own Stripe dashboard. Payout timing is Stripe's, typically a rolling schedule after each charge.

What does it cost me?

Paid tickets: 3.5% plus $0.75 per ticket, shown to the fan as a separate service fee line, plus GST or HST on that fee by province. Free tickets cost nothing.

Card processing is added to the fan's total and reimburses you for what Stripe deducts, so you net the face value of every ticket. When a ticket is refunded, the service fee and its tax are refunded with it.

You also earn 0.5% of settled paid-ticket revenue as advertising credit, and 0.5% of a referred organizer's revenue for their first 12 months, capped at $1,000 per referred account. Credits apply to ad spend only and expire after six months.

Can I include the fees in my ticket price so fans see one number?

Yes, per event. In that mode the advertised price is what the fan pays, and the fee and card cost come out of it, so you net less than face value. This is not yet a switch in the event editor. Send us a message with the event and we will set it, with the breakdown of what you will net.

How does GST/HST work?

Two separate things:

  • Tax on the platform fee: added by us as its own line, based on the province you set on the event. You never touch it.
  • Tax on your ticket prices: your choice, under Payments. Do not collect, add GST/HST on top of prices, or treat prices as tax-included. You can enter your GST/HST registration number and it prints on every receipt. Ticket tax is paid into your Stripe account and you report and remit it.

This covers in-person Canadian events sold in CAD. Provincial sales taxes such as PST and QST are not handled. If tax collection is on and an event has no province set, paid checkout is blocked until you set one.

How do I refund a ticket or a whole event?

Refund the payment in your Stripe dashboard. The platform picks it up within moments, marks the order refunded, voids the passes, and the service fee and its tax return automatically. Fans see "Refunded" in My tickets.

A partial refund needs one more step: Payments shows "Refund needs reconciliation" so you can say which tickets it covered. For a cancelled event with many orders, send us a message and we will refund the whole event for you.

Why does my sales report not match my Stripe payout?

Sales reports show what customers paid, including service fees, taxes and card processing. Your payout is face value plus any ticket tax you collect, after Stripe's card cost, which the card processing line reimburses. Reports filter by confirmed date in UTC. Stripe is the ledger for money; reports are for sales.

What about chargebacks?

As merchant of record, disputes on your ticket sales are handled in your Stripe dashboard and count against your account. Refunding promptly when asked is the cheapest way to avoid them. The ticket-holders table gives you the order, name and check-in time as evidence.

The door and the scanner

One phone per scanner, armed with a link that dies after the night. The scanner works offline and tells you loudly when two phones disagree.

How do I set up the door?

Open the event, then Open door. Create a device for each phone, for example "Front door" or "Bar", and hand the phone its one-time setup link or QR code. One device per phone. Showing the code again issues a fresh link and signs out a phone still on the old one. Devices expire on their own a few hours after the event ends, and you can revoke one at any time.

Door staff sign in to BACKROOM with the staff role and land straight on the door page, with live counts and nothing else.

How do I scan?

Point the camera at the QR code. The scanner works out whether it is an entry pass or a bar pass, so there is no mode to switch. There is a torch button for dark doors, and a name search with an Admit button for cracked screens or passes that will not load.

If the phone asks, allow camera access for the site. Without it, name search still works.

What do the scan results mean?
  • ADMITTED: entry pass accepted.
  • DRINK OK: bar pass accepted.
  • ALREADY SCANNED: shows when and on which device it was first scanned. First scan wins.
  • ENTRY NOT SCANNED: a bar pass presented before the entry pass. Scan entry first.
  • NOT VALID: refunded or voided ticket.
  • WRONG EVENT: a pass for a different night.
  • NOT FOUND: not a pass from this platform.
  • RECONNECT, LIST EXPIRED: the offline list is too old. Reconnect once.
What happens when the Wi-Fi drops?

Keep scanning. The phone holds a copy of the guest list and validates against it with the same first-scan-wins rule. Admits queue and the badge shows "Offline" with the queued count. When the connection returns, the queue syncs and any conflicts, such as the same pass admitted on two phones, are listed under Sync conflicts.

After a browser restart the phone needs one reconnect before it can admit offline again.

Where do I see live numbers during the night?

The door page shows issued, checked in, not arrived and drinks served, refreshing every 15 seconds, plus an arrival curve in 15-minute blocks. Download the guest list as a CSV from the same page. Attendance counts entry passes only, so drink passes never inflate the numbers.

Guests, analytics and exports

Every night adds to a guest history you own. Marketing consent is per organizer, so the marketing export only ever contains people who agreed to hear from you.

What analytics do I get?

Per event: sales by day, tier performance, channel attribution from your tracking links, arrival curve, no-shows, and a comparison against a previous night. Across events: pace versus earlier nights, day and hour patterns, and trends. Ticket holders lists every order with search, status, refunds and an export.

How do I export my guest list?

Guests offers two exports. "Export all" is for door and support operations. "Export consented" contains only guests who confirmed marketing consent for your organization, and is the only list you may send marketing to under Canadian anti-spam law. Each event's door page also exports its guest list, and Sales reports export transactions by date range.

Can I use my own Meta pixel?

Self-serve accounts run on AFTR DARK's pixel, which is the one campaigns optimize against, so Tracking shows it as managed and there is nothing to set. Retainer accounts with their own ad account enter a pixel ID and a Conversions API token under Tracking. Tokens are write-only and cannot be read back. Purchases fire on confirmation and attendance is sent after the door closes.

Advertising and billing

Optional. A senior agency team runs your Meta campaigns with reporting tied to ticket sales and door scans.

How do I turn on advertising?

Advertising is activated per account by AFTR DARK. Send us a message from the form below with your organization name and we will enable it. Once on, the Ads and Billing pages appear in your sidebar.

What does advertising cost?

A management fee per event, tiered on your settled ticket revenue: $149 up to $7,000, $299 to $15,000, $599 to $30,000, custom above. Free events are 15% of managed spend with a $249 minimum. Creative is $59 each. Your ad spend is passed through at cost with no markup. Your first paid event's management fee is waived with a minimum $750 of managed spend. Campaigns start at a $100 budget.

How does billing work?

No prepayment. You keep a card on file and charges accumulate. Each time the balance crosses your threshold your card is charged, and everything settles within 48 hours of each event. If a charge is declined, live campaigns pause the same day and resume when payment succeeds. Prepaid cards are not accepted, and a backup card is required once you pass your first threshold. Ad credit from cashback and referrals is spent before cash.

Account and security

Owners control the account. Closing it keeps the records the terms require and stops everything else.

How do I change my password or add a passkey?

Security in the sidebar. Passwords need at least 10 characters. Passkeys use your phone or laptop's own unlock and are the fastest way in.

How do I close my account?

Account, owner only, and you type your slug to confirm. Closing signs out every team member, cancels upcoming events with no guests, revokes invites and scanner devices, and turns off tracking. Sales, guest and payment records are kept as the terms require.

Closing is blocked while an upcoming event has guests holding tickets, a paid event is waiting on settlement, a campaign is live, or ad charges are unbilled. Fix those first. Reopening is a request to us.

Can I take my data with me?

Yes. Your attendee data belongs to you. Beyond the CSV exports in the portal, ask us for a full portable export on request and we will provide it and remove your data from active systems within a reasonable period, except where the law requires retention.
